Terms of Service | SPRT Console

Please read these terms carefully. By creating an account or using SPRT Console, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

SPRT Console ("the Service") is a cloud-based tool for logging and reviewing Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) measurement data. It is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom ("the Operator", "we", "us", "our").

The Service is provided as a convenience tool. It is not a certified metrology instrument, a calibration system, or a quality management system. It does not replace professional judgement, accredited calibration procedures, or laboratory management systems.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the Service on behalf of yourself or your organisation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: recording and reviewing SPRT measurement data. You must not:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable law;
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' data;
Introduce malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with the Service's operation;
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
Misrepresent the origin, accuracy, or provenance of any data entered into the Service.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of the measurement data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of any data you enter. The Service stores data as you provide it — it does not independently verify measurements.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

Important — please read carefully. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose;
accuracy, completeness, or reliability of data stored or displayed;
uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation;
the Service meeting your specific professional, regulatory, or accreditation requirements.

The Service is a data logging aid. It is not validated software under any metrology standard (such as ISO/IEC 17025). Users are solely responsible for ensuring their measurement processes, records, and conclusions meet any applicable accreditation, regulatory, or professional requirements.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law (including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015), the Operator shall not be liable for:

any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage;
loss of data, loss of profits, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity;
errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in measurement data recorded via the Service;
reliance on data exported from the Service in any professional, regulatory, or legal context;
any loss arising from service interruption, downtime, data loss, or unauthorised access;
any decision made on the basis of data stored or displayed by the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation), our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable UK law.

If the Service is used in a business context, aggregate liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the greater of £50 or the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Professional and regulatory responsibility

The Service does not constitute and shall not be relied upon as:

a certified calibration system;
evidence of traceability to national or international measurement standards;
a validated quality management record under ISO/IEC 17025, UKAS, or equivalent;
a substitute for professional metrological judgement.

Users operating in regulated environments are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Service is consistent with applicable standards, accreditation requirements, and professional obligations.

8. Service availability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available. However, we do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from unavailability of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
